B THE BEAT
DANCE BATTLE
"B the Beat" is a Graz based dance battle for hip hop, house and experimental. Since 2013 the team organised several editions of the event. For the 2020 edition I created a general design with a consistent imagery and colour scheme to promote the battle on social media.
DESIGN CONCEPT
The most important aspect of a battle event is to announce the lineup, which consists of DJs, judges, hosts, and showcase artists. To establish a consistent design language for the various flyers, I created hand-drawn illustrations of the invited artists to use instead of photos. These little artworks added a unique visual element and were complemented by a simple and clear layout containing essential information. The color scheme further enhanced the overall aesthetic, making the flyers stand out and catch people's attention on social media.
